acdelco date code
ok everything i read says the date code is on the label. there is nothing that resembles that on mine nor is there anything that begins with p. did they change it? there is a heat stamp on the back side that is 5-6 numbers and letters but can’t find any info decoding it. any help would be appreciated.

I assume you're talking about the battery?
Here is a picture of the battery that was in my 2011 when I bought it in 2013. The date code is P093R.

What’s the point of knowing the date code code? Warranty issues? Just replace it lol

thats what i keep seeing but i dont have that info on my label. the battery looks like new but obviously from being out of the elements. I just bought the car a few months ago but it doesn't get driven often at all, if its old id replace it just to not have a surprise but dont want to if its pretty fresh.

If it’s an AC Delco, 9/10? It’s factory. Should be good for 8yrs if you don’t drive it much. I replaced my original beginning of this yr. it’s lasted that long! 8 yrs. and I replaced it cause it get telling me on DIC my window need to come up or something everyone I closed my door. Figured battery was going out. No probs since.

thanks, that’s why i was scratching me head. i seem to have bad luck with batteries but if this is the original then i definitely want to go back with the same one.
