The ticking with my 2017 2SS M6 is quite annoying. Even my wife is like.. "what's that noise..?"

I am having the same issue with my 2017 SS Camaro. A8 with NPP exhaust. Same V4 to V8 issue makes such a loud noise. It drives me insane.

Please let me know if you find out what the fix is.

Hi Colt_H and Guthdawg,

We apologize that we weren’t able to get to the both of you sooner and understand how this noise can be frustrating. If you would like for us to look into this further, and reach out to your dealerships, please let us know in a private message! Be sure to include your VIN, current mileage, contact information and dealers name.

Just had mine in the shop for this issue. They replaced the injector and intake gaskets hoping to get a better seal. I haven't picked up the car yet, but I'll report back if it fixed the problem.

THIS CAR HAS BEEN AN ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE. I HAVE LESS THAN 12k miles on it and it's practically lived in the shops. I sent an escalation to GM, (not much better). They are finally addressing the rear end groan by rebuilding the clutch pack.

From misaligned body panels, to driver speaker issues to lackluster paint jobs.. I've seen 8k kias with better build quality.

I have owned 3 Camaros and other Chevy's, I can't say I will ever buy another.

My 2012 2SS was a dream. I can handle a few issues here and there, but when you couple it with crappy customer service, dismissive dealerships and less than stellar build quality you can't help but wonder wtf GM is doing these days. I clearly love the car when it's working as expected.

Too bad they make lemon laws intentionally ridiculous. My friends joke they my daily driver is a garage queen.. I can't really argue that anymore.

I am really disappointed in the handling of my post-sales concerns and cannot recommend the brand to anyone right now. I have never claimed to be an expert, but I have driven many cars and expect quality when spending upwards of $105,000 with a company over a lifetime...

I totally feel your frustration, I have had great luck with gmc trucks and have had many, but it seems every gm car I have bought has been put together with wood glue, lots of frustration. My wife drives a Mazda CX 5 that she has had for 5 years with no problems and it still drives like new and looks new.

UPDATE:

The car has been in for over two weeks.. Still not done. The dealer said they could not source the clutch pack, and decided to replace the entire differential. No rental, nada.

GM sure is stepping it up.

Yeah, I have been impressed with Mazda. *Even know they are owned by ford* LOL.

I had a Mazda tribute around 2006 that was KILLER. No problems, just had to change the fluids and let her rip.

I enhanced the ticking noise by removing some of the bass/noise from the videos. This is what I hear when I sit in the car accelerating. It is very clear.

Sounds like it's just the direct injection to me?

What speed/gear is this?
