Talking Some thing you fellow stick drivers may not know!

I came up to a stick driver's worst nightmare today... a dreaded stop sign on top of a huge incline! And of course, some jerk pulls up right behind me, leaving me no room for error... so I went for it, being quick off the clutch and on the gas, when this thing called "hill climb assist" came on, and I actually felt the car push me forward! How awesome! Any of you guys have any experiences with this too?

It's new for your model year, in the previous years you had to do it the old fashion way ... Skill

Not too many hills in SC, but the ones I do come to a stop on, I usually just hold the clutch and gas peddle so I don't need the brake.

If you don't feel comfortable on a hill with someone riding your bumper just use the hand brake.

Try doing that in a double bucket truck that is four times bigger than your car.

In that scenario I wouldn't care about the car behind me.

I've never had the hill assist show up then again I haven't been in hills a that are too steep. If some dickwad gets too close behind I tell them to get back.
