ALL SOLD!! GT344 Locking Gas Cap (0) GM#23159210
2010-2015. Comes as a kit you need to assemble, but the nice thing is it uses your EXISTING car key!
You code it to your key, so it goes with your car. And no separate key to fiddle with. You use your ignition key. Sealed in the original ACDelco baggie. GM lists these for $96.70. UPDATE: I have NONE available. Shipped to continental U.S.- XXXX USD firm. If you can get one somewhere else for less, then buy it.

I'm sure it comes with instructions to code your key to it?

It comes with everything you need to code and assemble the lock cylinder. Tiny springs, a slew of tumblers, instructions, and all that. It doesn't use every tumbler, but which ones you use are important to get exactly flush with the cylinder while test sizing.
The major thing to remember is not to put the cylinder in the cap with the locking tumbler attached until you are POSITIVE you have the right tumblers in the right spots. Instructions are pretty straightforward, but the DIY on here helps a lot.

Would this still work if the key is separate from the electronic fob? My keys have had the recall?

Yes, actually works better that way since the you have to turn this cap with the key still in there... The small opening and the full FOB make it kind of clumsy to open |
