50+ day "QC" hold.. Lots of people getting antsy and pissed cause other people are buying them off lots.

Too many unanswered questions.

No doubt it's going to be a great car, this initial roll out is just a crappy period to have to wait through..

pissed because people are buying them off the lots. My uncle got screwed because of that on a 14 vette. He put his money down with a dealer way befor GM was accepting orders. Had a agreed upon price on his 12 Vette conv. Still didnt have his car in the fall of 14. Then the dealer reneged on the trade in. He dropped it and kept the C6. He was going to go to see the car built and pick it up at the plant. Its BS that people who put there money down befor even knowing what the price or even colors were going to be on the car couldnt get there cars befor people on the street could walk into a dealer and pick one up.

Notice the "?" Forever now just thought eventually they will change it, soon.

Most likely with most cars it will grow to be popular. For me the 5th gen did not have to grow on me. The 6th is just not for me, no big deal. I hope they sell well enough for I can see the 7th & 8th gen so I can get my kids one.

You guys do realize there was a similar situation back in 2009 with the 5th gen launch?

It seems like they should've just kept the 5th gen for one more model year and then introduced the 6th gen for the '17MY in Sept/Oct of 2016. It would have given them a full year to work the bugs out.

These slow rollouts for new cars is getting ridiculous. By the time I actually get to see one in person, I'm already going to be sick of them.

Nissan seems to be the same way with the new Titan. The 2nd gen Titan XD and 1/2 ton model is way long overdue, but they're still not on the lots yet. Yet, I've seen pics and various road tests of the HD model for months now.

What ever happen to the old days when new models were in the showrooms by September.

There's no excuse this time. These super late launches are getting ridiculous. GM was able to come out with the 1st gen F-body to compete with the Mustang back in Sept '66.

They should just extend the introduction of the 6th gen to the 2017 model year and release it in Sept/Oct of '16 . Then, they won't have to deal with the embarrassment of having to ship them to these quality control centers to fix the various "quality control issues" that seem to be popping up.

They reinvent the wheel EVERY time they do something like this. It's like "was anyone awake the last time we fugged up the rollout of a upgraded model?" When customers are held up waiting, and especially if they have money tied up, it's not a good place to be as a manufacturer. "It's ok, we have people building mock wooden cars to find all the flaws".

While I can appreciate the fact that QC is doing what they can to ensure the product is right by the time it gets to the customer, apparently they're not staffing right. This is why buying "1st car available to the public" is not always the smartest buy. You have some sort of bragging rights, but also likely being potentially full of flaws.

The brass at the round table don't care because cash is rolling in and absolutely nothing is going to change this. Write your local congressman and senators.

Meanwhile, the public continues to Repeat the same thing over and over and expect different results...

Look how good the quality control was for the 11 and 12 verts. They used the customers as research and development on them. Personally, I would be pissed having thousands of dollars in a car that was tied up somewhere for 50 days or so then driving by a dealership seeing the 16's on the lot. There is no excuse for that. I would cancel my order in hold hell and just go out and buy one off the lot similar to what I would of ordered. Then again, there is nothing better than ordering the car the way you want, waiting for it, then seeing it come off the truck. Unless it was an 11 or 12 vert that spent 27 days out of its first 3 months on the road in the dealership for numerous problems including the top.
