As far as the Blazer theme, perhaps at some point they could at least offer a "Two-Door" sport version of some kind....Never recall seeing a four door Blazer for any year previous.

Yes you've seen a four door Blazer:

The name is a non-issue for the vast majority of consumers. And like I've said before, "TrailBlazer" sounds way more of an off road SUV than "Blazer" while we're resurrecting nameplates.
That was exactly my point. I hope GM decides to offer a competitor to the Bronco. TrailBlazer would be perfect. Then again, they let Ford dance alone with the Raptor unless you consider the ZR2 a response.

Are you kidding? They aren't even offering the 6.2 in the 2019 TrailBoss Silverado.

I was getting ready to write..there have been 4door blazers..but after seeing that picture of the jimmy/blazer i realized i was thinking trailblazers this whole time and now the blazer makes sense.

Since i was thinking trailblazer the whole time, i kept saying to myself they made it smaller. Ahh makes sense now. Anyway i guess this is a good transition car keeping with the aggressive front end.

How they use to air that nissan commercial with the person growing up and stretching out there 370z to a maxima, this reminds me of an easy transition of someone being able to give up a camaro for a blazer.

So my initial impression and thoughts are why is GM bringing yet another SUV that is not a 2 door to the market. How many SUV/Crossover's does Chevy need? Apparently 5 is not enough. Not including GMC (3) or Buick (3)

As far as looks, yes, I give it a thumbs up.
And I think this hits a solid niche in what is the hottest market segment now

Should GM have named it something else... I think the argument is a waste of time.

There is one segment that is STILL wide open that I wish GM would fill and that is the Full Size 2 door SUV.

Bring back the 2 door Tahoe. I know it won't happen... but I think it would sell very well..

I need to clarify.
You can fairly reliably price out a Chevrolet by looking at the GMC version, and knocking a few grand off. Thats what I meant by 'Priced as a Chevrolet Acadia': Take an GMC Acaida and apply Chevrolet pricing to it.

Well yes most of the time. However this one is going to be a little more difficult, because this one does not have a 3rd row like the Acadia.

I believe the All Terrain Acadia had a 3rd row delete.
