Extended Warranty

This is a post from the Corvette Forum and I have purchased extended warranties from Ken over 17 years and he has always been the lowest price for real GM extended warranties. Not sure if this is the correct place to post, but move it if required.

Summer is here and we are having a sale on the Protection Plans from GM, now thru July 30, 2017! Just an FYI I will be out of the office from 7-19 and returning on 7-27 to attend his daughter’s renewal of wedding vows in Southern California so if you need your plan before he leaves get them in now so you don’t miss out.

We sincerely appreciate all of our Corvette Forum customers that we have had the pleasure to serve since the founding of the Forum! Thousands have saved a ton of money on protection plans and Corvettes! Thanks!!

Prices from GM on the Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, & Cadillac Plans (GMEPP) will be increasing soon. We expect the increase any day. Beat the price increase AND take advantage of our sale. We are offering the Protection Plan from GM on any make & model and the plan prices are just over our dealer cost, AND we are taking an additional $200 off our everyday low prices thru 7/30/17.

Remember it doesn't have to be a Corvette, we can do them on all vehicles including Fords, Mercedes, Hyundai, Lexus, etc.

To qualify:

You can reside in any state! The plan is available in every state.

Your vehicle must be a 2007 or newer model with less than 120,000 miles on the odometer!

AND there is no no sales tax and also no additional fee for accepting a credit card!

I am still in business! I’m confident that you know the names of Ken and Dennis Fichtner for their expertise in the Corvette Forum for many years.

We promise great service and the lowest prices.

Matching and beating other offers is our goal!

Make sure to include your VIN, current odometer reading, date of purchase if bought used and state of residence.

Have a great day!

Example

A couple months ago the Platinum 60/60000/0 GM extended warranty for a ZL1 was $1120.00. GM covers the struts whereas Ally does not. As I recall, he makes $50 per warranty. A lot of Corvette owners by through him, in fact I bought my Z06 extended warranty through Ken.

I looked into this as well when I bought my ZL1. In the past I have always done a GMPP extended warranty on my toy cars. I was kinda told that GMPP doesnt exist anymore its now owned or handled thru ALLY. Then there was the coverage offered thru CNA. The two dealers I spoke with both pushed the CNA coverage.

I've never spent money on an extended since I usually void the stock warranty before that's even over. Also, when/if things break is a perfect time to upgrade.

Ally is cheaper, but Ken explained that other warranties do not cover certain high dollar items that the GM warranty covers. Always best to shop around.

What Ken sells is what used to be the GMPP, the Ally warranty is not as good. I have bought multiple extended warranties through Ken, paid off on our Avalanche (had $3000 worth of repairs done before it expired, paid $1200 for the warranty with zero deductible). I got a quote from Ken right after I bought the car, haven't purchased yet because I have time to do it in the first year. The nice thing with the GM warranty is taking it to any dealer, no pre-approval like other aftermarket warranties. They look up your VIN in the system and all the warranty info is right there. It basically covers everything except wear items (brake pads and rotors, clutch, etc.) and even then they might cover those if they wear prematurely due to a defect. Had his warranty on my C6 Vette as well and was able to transfer the remaining warranty to the new owner when I sold it.

I asked Dennis about the GMEPP this week. He responded I could not purchase one from him because I live in California. Trying to identify reasonably cost sources.

Is this a genuine General motor warranty?

I only purchased the wheel and rim warranty for $500 on my red outline 20" rims. I figure, I will file at least one claim which will pay for itself. Overall, I am against purchasing warranties, as you are fighting an uphill battle with companies whose goal it is to deny a claim, and I prefer to self-insure if I can afford the risk. At the end of the day, warranties are a bad bet.

I think that Dennis can't sell the GMEPP is in California it's insurance and does NOT have a lic to sell insurance.

I just came across this and they do sell in Ca.

https://www.mercuryinsurance.com/ins...rotection.html

I will also look into this as to the GMEPP.

WOW, that sound super high? Maybe contact Dennis as on my 2017 2LT for a 72/48K 0 dect would be $1280 and $300 off.

I am looking at the GMEPP for my 2017 2LT, only covers the top motor and nothing else on the convertible, and the GM#PP starts the day you buy it, and so un until about 10K miles I can think about it but will lose the $300 discount for now.

Has anyone purchased the GMEPP and used it and or had issues?

Thanks
Christopher
