I know this is subjective, but how loud is the groan?

enough that it is a bit unsettling, and enough to know that it's not good for the rear end, IMO.

mine was so loud and reverberative that I thought it was something wrong with the sub. I started looking for problems with the bose noise canceling system.

Mine does it and I'm not really worried about it any longer
I don't have a groan anymore its a straight grind. sounds like when brakes when it goes past the screech pad.

I don't have a groaning rear end but I bought a tube of friction modifier & two new quarts of rear diff fluid just in case this problem develops.
Screw the dealer, I'll just take care of it myself just like the front end clunk mine developed at 500 miles...
Ordered Nord-lock washers & red Loctite & all was good...

Question

Does this happens only to the automatic transmission camaro or also to the manual transmission one?

Hey guys Just bought a 16 camaro 1ss 2 months ago with only 2600 on the odo.

Started hearing the rear diff issue almost immediately.

Contacted the dealership I bought it from who made a big deal and said I'd need to "prove it".

Long story short I took the car to a different dealership and within 5hrs they had diagnosed the rear diff was full of metal and needed to be replaced.

I am currently still waiting to get my vehicle back from the dealer, everything covered under warranty.
