Cylinder Firing Order for LGX 3.6L?

I'm getting a P0302 error code. It's directly related to cylinder 2. I can't seem to find any information on the firing order for the LGX 3.6L. It's also Easter Sunday and I'm unable to contact the dealership at the moment. I will do that first thing tomorrow morning.

P3400 is also present with P0302. It's the cylinder deactivation system. I'm guessing the missfire to cylinder two is related to the cylinder deactivation malfunction.

I've checked spark plugs, coils and wires. All seem to be fine.

I've attached a couple screenshots of my error codes. If anyone has helpful information that would be great. Maybe similar issues on your car? Any solution?

I searched Google and Facebook groups and best answer I can find is somewhat vague.

Here they reference cylinder #1 as the passenger side furthest from transmission, and many other places say the cylinder order is passenger side furthest from trans: 1, 3, 5 and driver side furthest from trans: 2, 4, 6.

It is on a Cadillac but it is the same LGX engine

I’d bet cylinder #2 is driver side furthest from transmission, sorry I can’t give a solid answer but best would be to ask a dealer

Also, a tech on the Facebook group said that passenger side is Bank 1 so I’m putting that as more evidence of cylinder #2 being Bank 2 and furthest from trans

Thanks, bud. I will most certainly find out the position and order of firing tomorrow. The internet has very limited amounts of information for these 6th gens. I've even got a tranny core sitting in my shed since no shops are willing to rebuild it. The core is "too new". This is what every shop has said so far.

firing order is 123456. Numbering, looking from the flywheel is 1-3-5 on the right and 2-4-6 on the left. So your number 2 cylinder is back right if you are looking from the front.

That's what I was figuring. Had to be the back left or back right. I've checked those plugs and a few others. They all seem to be fine. They're also not too old. I replaced them about a year ago. Also, aong with all my error codes, I've been getting a Stabilitrak service light and loss of power. Searching the internet, I've found a handful of problems that could cause this. I'm going to try trial and error until I'm fed up and take it to the dealer.

Still... any tips are helpful.

Nice! That's exactly the information I was looking for. Well done, mate

And just an update for anyone who may be experiencing similar issues; the dealership has diagnosed the misfire as a bad fuel injector. They're in the process of fixing it now. Once the new fuel injector is in, they'll drive it and run tests for any other codes. I'm no longer under warranty, so it's running me about $1,100 at the dealership.

Wow $1,100 bucks, that's brutal. OEM Injectors are less than $100 and pretty simple to put in. I would ask for a detailed breakdown on what they did. I understand they have to troubleshoot but a grand in labor is outrageous.

Had you not said anything, I wouldn't have even looked at the price. Never had the chance to work on any fuel injectors yet. But, after doing a search, you're right. The fuel injectors are less than $100. That's extremely surprising to me. Just a new set of 6 spark plugs ran me almost $200. I had no idea they were that inexpensive. Next time, I'll just have them run the diagnostics and put the injector in myself.

Thats just batChit crazy... I you should be able to talk them down on the price! Otherwise why not try to do the work yourself?

Hello, I am not sure how old this thread is. Does anyone know where the flywheel is? Is towards the front of the camaro? I got a cylinder 3 miss fire so I am trying to get oriented with the engine. Thanks.
