Cold start- is this normal
Had a tune redone, and everything runs great. However, when I start the car when cold, the RPMs start at 1200. After a minute or 2, it settles to 900.

Hmmm. Weird. My g8, nor my c6z never did that, where it’ll idle higher for a couple of minutes then settle down.

Well, it's normal if your tuner set it up for that RPM when the coolant temp is at whatever. This can be changed if you dont like it. It's quite flexible.

Cammed cars idle around 1000 rpm depending on the cam and the tuner. All my cars I ever owned started high and drop rpm once they are warmed up.

My car on a freezing day will start at 1100 rpm and idle down to 750 in a minute or so.
