My autocross thread

It's been a slow start to the season as I've been co-driving other cars in different classes. Going forward, I'd like to focus on driving my own car/setup the rest of 2014.

Car is stock with an aggressive alignment on BFG Rivals.

Just ordered one-of-a-kind CCWs yesterday that should be here in a few weeks. I decided to stay on 20s and am going to test Hankook RS-3 V2 next.

I don't really take many videos but here is one from last weekend's event with Philly SCCA @ Warminster. http://youtu.be/jF-xp9QvpvE

Let us know how the Hankooks work. I'm leaning towards them for my next set.

Fastest(clean) Saturday run:

Fastest Sunday run:
http://youtu.be/UM2CPVf1J7g

Double event at Pocono this past weekend with NEPA SCCA. This wasn't your typical parking lot-style autocross, as we used the East course coned down. We did eight runs Saturday, six on Sunday. http://www.nepascca.org/sololive/results_live.htm

The Hankook RS-3s were awesome, slightly less precise than the Rivals, but put down power better and warmed up immediately. Very satisfied going into Toledo in 2 weeks.

What did you think of the rivals? Looking at trying out a set.

The Rivals were fine. They had more applicable tread width when mounted versus the Goodyears and Hankooks and had great response, but took two runs to get heat into them and don't put down power as well as the RS-3s. Unless you're running at least -2° of front camber, the Rivals with their monster shoulders are a safer bet.

Still on stock pads. I have Cobalt XR3s at the ready and could've benefited from them at the last event.

Holding it down on day 1 at Toledo Pro Solo. There's more time out there especially on the left side.

Figured I'd update. Finished 4th at the Toledo Pro last month. Had the raw time to take the win but was +1 on the left.

All in all, the 1LE is a very capable F Street car. Did not participate in this weekend's Wilmington Pro because I'm not doing the Finale, but am registered for Nats come September.
