Which RF amp did you go with? I ordered my harness and stock mount from the S-Place (no idea why they’re persona non- grata on this site) but I’m still undecided on which amp to go with. Not trying to rock the earth, I just want better performance from the speakers.

For the front component speakers, will I need an adapter plate and wiring harness of some sort?

Yes, they should have both in stock at BB. The harness will seem like it won't fit but it will, you just have to be firm with it. The mounting bracket is just plug and play. Don't do like some folks and cut the harness and chop up the old speaker just to make it fit, both the harness and bracket are pretty cheap.

How will the tweeter plug up? I didn’t see any adapters for that.

They connect directly to the main speaker. I used regular bullet connectors so I can detach them if I need to.

Your replacements are not Bi-Amp configured.

You would, essentially, need to cut the wires that go to the two small speakers,
and wire them to the HI-side, then the woofer cone to the lo-side wires from the
4-way connector.

Will be interested to see how your installer does this, for FREE...
im just trying to add a powered sub to my stock 2LT camaro stereo.
do you know which wires on each rear speaker are the bass pos & neg?

I have a sub thump adaptor that I don't use anymore. Easy plug and play if you want it.

These are the pins I posted on my video.

Pins 6 (+) & 2 (-) are right sub out, pins 7(+)& 3(-) are left out in X1 connector.

My amp is very small size wise but pushes 3 Kicker 10" subs. I will have to look at it as I don't recall what it is.

Rockford Fosgate Prime R500X1D Ebay has one for $130.00 w/remote https://www.ebay.com/itm/12603705673...CABEgKB-PD_BwE

its hard to tell from your video which connector you are referring to as X1 but if its the white connector with 8 pins in it, mine only has 6 wires going to that 8 pin connector as follows
larger red with white stripe
larger black
green
blue & white
blue & black
green & black

do these wires perhaps goto the rear speakers cuz i already used up my barrel lug crimps premaking the wire length to goto the speakers themselves

OR do i gotta start over make much longer ones since my sub is gonna sit oppsoit corner as the amp.

I don't recall how many wires are in that connector but it was the top white connector. If the pins I referenced do not have wires populated on the backside than maybe your model was not prewired for subs. Don't count the wires the wires leaving the connector but those entering the connector. I think this doc is the original wires.

thanks man
im not sure whats happening with that attached image. is it a OCR scanned image or actual pic or translated from another language cuz the punctuation and such doesnt make things very clear.

SO let me see if i read it correctly to identify the wires i need to hook to my subs high level inputs;

left rear low end wires at the speakers are; Dark blue/white stripe &light green/black stripe
Right rear low end wire at speaker are; Dark green &light blu/with black stripe

this seems to correspond to the wires i already identified as being at my amp connector in previous post
plus it corresponds to the wires i see connected at the speakers as well, i just checked now
