Even though I have a 2015 ram diesel and trailer, I drive mine to the track. ~80 miles each way.

Still a long walk home if you put it off or something bad happens

Anyone fit one of these cars in a typical 8.5x20 trailer without side access door?

I use a Featherlite 3110 with extended ramps plus race ramps and tow with a Tundra. Would love to move up to an enclosed but that’s not in the budget this year.

I moved mine from the SF Bay Area to Tucson AZ on an 18' wood deck flat bed. I used through the rim padded straps to tie it down, and towed it with a 20' u-haul truck. That's almost 900 miles in 14 hours. It didn't move at all

I drive my ZL1 1LE to the track and back home. Buttonwillow, Laguna Seca, and Thunderhill are all about 150 miles each way from my home so I don't mind driving the 2 hours there and back. As soon as I get to the track I jack up each side and set the camber to track on the paddock. After my track days I set it back to street camber and drive back home.

So far I've had no issues.

We poor souls living in the Midwest, and therefore having to drive 8, 12, 17 hours (COTA!) to extend our track season, need enclosed trailers.

Concur on the driver's side escape door!

Get a nicer car (ZL1 1LE), need a nicer trailer (Pace American), need a bigger truck (2500HD diesel)....love this hobby!

All beautiful photos!

I was thinking buying a Wrangler JLU but it’s not strong enough to tow the ZL1.

I’ve been pulling race trailers for 30 years, smallest being a 24’ enclosed to a 48’ hauler with living quarters in the front. So based on experience here’s what’s worked for me. 99 Dodge V6 magnum. Standard shift with 4.10 gear set. Pulled 24’ enclosed with 4K car and tools. Every weekend for years, 300 miles round trip. Bought 07 1500 Chevy WT auto with 3.73 gears and 5.3L engine did great with slightly better fuel mileage. Used same 1500 and traded for a 28’ enclosed so I could add side x side. Same truck did just fine, added 10 ply tires to stop swaying in heavy wind. The key to getting a really good tow vehicle in a half ton Chevy is buying the WT model. Drive line, suspension, transmission calibration, cooling and brakes all different then with the LT’s and LTZ’s. All of these trucks were standard cab, moved to 32’ enclosed and traded up to a 16 WT2500 crew cab with 6.0L and 4.10 gear set. Had as much as 15k behind it when I pull the 5th wheel. Pulls like a mule anywhere we go but loves the fuel.
Used a 06 Chevy WT 3500 8.1L with 4.10 gear sets, 6 speed manual to pull 48’. Rolled over the scales at 19,350#. Pulled great at 8MPG. Thank God for the 32gal. Tank.

Are you adjusting toe as well when you change the camber?

I did with mine. I reset it just above 0 on the out side. I'm guessing that you don't have to since the toe out isn't crazy when you rotate the uprights to "Track Camber".
