What looks better on black? Chrome or black chrome?

Brushed or polished IMO. Chrome really depends on wheel design, it can be overpowering. Black just loses the definition of the design that you're shelling out big money for anyway. Kind of defeats the purpose.

Black Chrome is cool depending on the wheel design.
I'm currently running chrome wheels on my car now and draw more attention then I did when I was running a set of gloss black ZL1 replica wheels. The black wheels made the car look sinister but there are ALOT of cars out there running black wheels. The Black Chrome would be alittle more subtle than the chrome, but flasher than black. I could be wrong but it seems like the black chrome might show the water spots easier and harder to keep clean than chrome.
A couple pics of my car with my current setup and the black wheels that I just sold a few weeks ago. Sorry no black chrome.

Bowtie, I still prefer the chrome or polished wheels on black. This is a great side profile of your car. I like my M017’s in graphite, but, I do miss my polished ZL1’s sometimes. Whose rockers do you have? They look good.

Actually, I really like it a lot better with the chrome than black. As I’ve said before this is one of the nicest cars on the forum. I may copy your stripe and rockers. It really makes a statement. Of course, my stripe will not say Nickey.

Thanks SS PANTHER for the kinds words! My side skirts and rear diffuser are OEM ZL-1 pieces. As for the stripes I say go for it! Back when I was trying to decide on a side stripe, I almost went with the "Hockey" Stripe but my dad liked the the one I have on my car better so I went with it! No regrets!

Being older, I like chrome. My Z71 has the OEM chrome wheels. In the morning or late afternoon when the sun hits it It reflects the sun back and you can see the reflection on other vehicles Sometimes at slower speeds it looks like a strobe light

Bowtie, That is one sweet ass hood you got there and I dig the chrome rims. I have been toying with the idea of rims like that when I need to change my tires - probably next year. I like the Crager SS style look. I just wish they made the original SS design in our sizes.
