My spoiler was painted a week before I got it shipped to me. They didn't have the paint available so they were waiting for it. So I guess that's why my paint wasn't the best?

RPI spoiler requires extra holes on an SS. Deal breaker for me. Even if they are covered.

I agree the ACS spoiler is the best looking but overpriced when looking at the others, for $800 plus you can get a carbon fiber spoiler with a wicker bill from Anderson Composites. All I'm saying is that ACS needs to adjust prices on their items. The RPI looks great too and at a fair price the only thing i see is their wicker bill looks well cheap, I'm wondering if you can use the wicker bill from zl1 that would look great. I really wanted the ACS spoiler, rockers and splitter but the cost was just crazy, so my choices was down to RPI if the zl1 wicker bill would fit or the gm blade with the zl1 wicker bill but now Anderson has one and its carbon fiber, it might not have the WOW effect but the price is DAM.

ACS is nice but fug that, it's not that serious to pay $600-$800 for. If the ACS was around $300 then yeah I would do it.. but then again, I like my stock spoiler. Drop the car and you can make the stock spoiler look 5x better if the car looks good in general.

My experience with them was not that smooth, but in the end they did right by me. My only complaint (other than the shipping nightmare) is the attention to detail. Nothing that can be seen from the top, but if you open the trunk there are a few imperfections.
Overall I'm happy with it. Pics aren't the greatest. My car is still in hibernation. Pics of the wicker bill fully extended and fully retracted |

I have the RPI and love it.
#1. Get a local body shop paint it though. It will be better quality. There paint wasn't great in my opinion. However they did right by me. So I'm happy with them. #2. You don't need to drill new holes. I grinded some of the studs off and mounted it without drilling. It stays on perfectly. I contemplated getting the ACS and I like others have said, from the rear it looks great, but I do not like it at all from the sides. It has a gap that throws me off. And also they charge way to much in my opinion. I want there side rockers so bad, but 7-800 painted has got me stalling.

Here the rpi spoiler. From a far. Not the best picture but the only one I have from that distance.
Rpi: *quality in paint was eh? Didn't complain to them though. Just asked a shop to buff and wetsand a bit and it was fine. * shipping was a nightmare though. I actually waited 5 weeks. I message Don after the 4 weeks had passed. And he helped me a lot. Shipped the spoiler that same week and revieved it the after week. * I have an LT model. So I let a shop install it. Said it was super easy and of course no extra holes for me. But if you have an SS or RS. You will have extra holes. Unless you cut the stud off. which would be fine. Also no leaks. |
