NOS plate Install.......

Hey Guys,

I have kind of pieced together a nitrous system from various parts makers and it works great. I currently have a fogger nozzle drilled into my intake tube and wanted to go with a plate. Well, I have my plate and it is not a direct fit. With the throttle body being pushed out due to the thickness of the plate, it hits the tensioner pulley for the belt. So YES! I did some searching and I saw one Camaro owner flip the throttle body over so it wouldn't hit. Problem is the plug won't reach over to that side if it is flipped. Anyone got a quick fix for this? I'm checking here first before I start calling around tomorrow.

Any reason why you switched to a plate? I'm currently running a single nozzle for my 150 shot. I understand the switch if you're doing a 250 shot, but Nitrous Outlet and multiple other nitrous forums have said it doesn't matter if what you do if you spray less than a 250 shot.

I think Nitrous Outlet and maybe Casper Electronics have an extension cable for about $30. Otherwise, break out the colored wire, heat shrink and soldering iron.

It is more to clean up the install and "tuck" everything under the engine cover. In California I dont want to advertise what Im running. Then again, I guess the sticker on my windshield doesn't help. Its more of a personal thing.

Yes you need to flip the throttle body and extend the wiring.

Lingenfelter sells an extension with a tps plug out so you can hook it right up to your controller. Had to use one for my nitrous outlet plate when I flipped the tb.

You don't need the TPS wire unless you are going to connect it to a WOT switch, which is not a bad idea, but not required.

My system only activates from the WOT switch, so yes I have one.

The TPS signal would go to an Electronic WOT switch that requires a TPS signal. You should have a six wire TPS and I think it's the green (maybe purple, I'd have to look at my bookmarked threads to be sure) wire you tap, but if you are using that type of WOT switch and just a microswitch that is triggered by physical pedal movement, the NO cable might be worth the investment.
