I would say go buy some wrap and try it with buddies if your up to it. Just buy enough wrap to try a few times. I was going to wrap my hood but ended up making my own stripes on the hood and wrapping some of the trunk.

Man, if applying by vinyl wrap is anything like applying vinyl decals, I would say leave it to a professional. I've screwed up decals so many times on stuff. I've tried the soapy water solution trick and regardless of how many times I've tried to clean, I always end up with bubbles and specs of dust/dirt under them. Pain in the arse.

Lol, I did this before the 2019 pics came out. The previous owner messed up the paint a little on the bumper trying to remove the stripes it had so I decided to try this out rather than repaint the bumper figuring I could always remove if I didn't like it.

Looks great, much better than a 2019 in my opinion. Too bad GM didn't see your car first.

I got mine wrapped for $150 in satin black. Watching the shop do it, i was continuously thinking that I could probably do it. In the end, I figured $150 for the materials and time and labor it wasn't that bad of a deal.

$450 is what I’ve been quoted from two places here in St Pete just for the hood in satin black. WTH?

I was quoted 250 in Canada. 450 seems really steep.
