2018 Camaro SS 8 vs c7 stingray both stock. TRACK RACE!

What can I expect I'm driving the ss I am new to the track but do know to launch it really good. No driver mod involved. The c7 is auto

If the Vette driver is as good as you and is also an A8 expect to loose. His car weighs 500 lbs less but has the same engine.

Its may not be quite 500lbs. A Z51 Corvette weighs over 3,400 lbs, so the difference in weight is 250 - 300lbs (bigger difference if its non-Z51)....but we're splitting hairs here. No biggie.

No matter, the Vette driven the same as the Camaro should be a few tenths quicker stock for stock. The fact that he has an A8, and you have a M6 puts you at another disadvantage. Unless he somehow screws up the launch, I'd say you lose by a half second.

If both cars are bone stock and both A8's then he is going to win every time. I've only outrun one Vette and that guy was a stick and the race was still close.

Vettes are in the 3.6 sec range 0-60 and pretty easily run 11.8 -11.9 in the quarter. To get there in a Camaro you're going to need really good air and some sticky tires.

Stock for stock, my money's on the Vette.
