Otherwise, save $$$$$$$$$$$$$$ and get a 2018 as soon as they take the big "outdated model" hit.
I read The A10 that the 2019 SS will be getting is the same unit that the 18 GT has and its not as strong as the ZL1 A10. 5.0 guys already breaking them. Nothing wrong with the 8l90 anyway...it's a stout trans.

Lol. It must be the south florida culture.

I've bought all my cars out of state, in the last decade, except my Infiniti, which was from Orlando, since I found a reasonable dealer there.

To me, the 2018-16 are already looking a bit dated. Give it a few months, the general public may feel the same way

I was going to go 19 but I've decided to go 2018.

I cannot get over the flowtie sitting so low and it's just ugly to me. I can live without the A10 tranny

If my car got totaled right now, I'd end up with a Vette! I don't ever want a Transformer. I'm an adult.

the zl1 is unchanged and would be in the ballpark of the base vette. why not a zl1?

The ZL! is unchanged? Somehow I missed that. If that the case, then ya, I would do that. Because I love love my Camaro so much more than I like my Dads C7.

Only the front is unchanged. The rear is still getting the bug eyes.

2018-16 owners think 2019 looks horrific.

Those in the market are more open minded.

That about the gist of it ?

I'm actually in this very spot. my 2016 SS got written off yesterday, got tboned. Not at fault and have GAP. so, i'm back on the market. i'll be ordering a 2ss 1le. the front of the 19 has grown on me, still prefer the 16-18, but i can't deal with the taillights. for some reason when they are lit they drive me bonkers.

no matter what, they will both be great cars. OP, its just down to what you as an owner will be happy with.

Yep, from the press release...

New front-end styling with distinct differences between LS/LT, RS and SS, including the fascia, grille, LED dual-element headlamps and reshaped hood (ZL1 retains its airflow-optimized front-end styling)

I like the look of the 19 RS but the bowtie smack in the center of the bumper guard on the SS looks like crap. Looks ok on a truck, but not a SS. Agree with waiting till the 18's are discounted maybe even find a 17 sitting on lot.

There are people today that won't buy a 69 Camaro because of the body changes, and there are people today that won't buy a 68 because they think the 69 looks better.

Moral of the story? Get what YOU want.

The whole value argument is moot IMO, buying a new car is throwing away money anyway( not insulting people, I have bought 5 new cars. to me it's worth it, especially if you get a fantastic deal). And a car is only as much as someone is willing to pay for it.
