Msd 2 step on automatic

Anyone here managed to get their 2 step to work on their automatic? If so how did you set it up because their are literally no instructions on what to do... I got them plugged in the coil packs and the wire running through the firewall and tried to set it up on a switch but all it does is light red when I go to start it and then it turns off but won’t turn back on. Need help..

We got one to work on an M6 car, check out the link below. I think you can get it to work the same way but instead of the clutch hook up to a momentary switch. That’s the only way I think you may be able to pull it off

I had to take a break from it as I was getting frustrated. So I slept on it and cleared my head and found out what the problem was. I had a bad switch. So I went and got a new one and bam.. we are good to go.. buttoned up everything and we are good to go. What did you set yours on? I tested it at 2000 and it’s sounded ok but I figured I could go much higher

I just used a rocker switch.. was pretty simple to install just frustrated me when I couldn’t get it to work when all it was was a bad switch. I wanted to use a pressure switch on some spaghetti cable so I can hook it above the knee bolsters and just drop it when I take off but I couldn’t find local and my butt being impatient just went with a switch

Maybe I'm out of the loop, but what's the benefit to having a 2 step on an auto?

It workes better than the factory launch control. To load up the converter. Factory launch control in the auto is garbage.

Are you going to do a launch video with the 2step?

I just installed the MSD 2Step. How much RPM would be the loudest?

Im getting a msd 2 step for Christmas from the ol lady. I have an A8 and will be using the brake pedal as the power with a toggle to arm. I did this with my old turbo silverado and loved it.

splice into Brake pedal power - micro toggle switch - msd box.

when you want the 2 step, flip the little switch on and press the brake. when you are brake boosting sitting on the 2 step and then let off the brake, it will disengage the 2 step and you're off to the races. no need to use your feet and hands to launch correctly. I'll document it so you guys with autos can see how I do it. I never liked the idea of holding a button with your finger along with using booth feet when trying to launch a car.
