Heavy I guess? I was shocked when I dyno'd my car, posted it on a hot rod forum and the guys were just going "so???? Over 20 loss is normal for that trans"

And yes, I will second, TH400 with manual valve body would be rough on a road course. It works, but clunky. (Of course the straight line suspension may have contributed )Because I wanted to run a drag car at a Miata sized autocross for fun, and so I know. The Miata guys thought it was hilarious fun though.

Wouldn't just buying the body kit and hood vynil have been easier and cheaper than buying a 1LE? About 5-6k cheaper? Just curious, it's your car, so I'm not complaining or arguing, I have lost more than that on crazy car projects that didn't end well. In fact the car I mention in the first half of this post, I just assumed the previous owner knew what oil to put in the $12-14k engine. Guess what.....he didn't.

A manual SS and especially a 1LE can make for an a very competent street / drag car automatic conversion.

would this work for a TH400 and no manual valve body?

use this for the valve body:

My buddy put a TH350 in a M6 6th gen. He had to make a custom adaptor plate and a mount for the trans to line it up properly. That's about all I know.

Its a complicated swap. We are still having problems with the switch over in our Magnuson Camaro. Now we plan to use the Holley EFI stand alone system like the Copo Camaro's use.

Can the Holley control the DI injectors now? I heard they were working on it but, were having "overheating problems" with the injector drivers.
