Anyone have 4:10 gears on their v8 autos?

Is anyone running 4:10 on their SS or LT1 autos?

I'm just wondering how drive able it is off the line. I would think traction could be an issue due to these cars having so much torque.

Think that would be too much gear for our cars if you could get one.

Why? That makes no sense with a 1st gear of 4.52. Would be a total waste of money.

Yea, the stock 3.73 is so low it makes 1st and 2nd gears only partially useful

3.73 is standard in the Camaro with a M6 trans.

Only the Manuals get the 3.73. A10 Zl1's get a 2.85, SS's get a 2.77.

Exactly, a 4.10 would totally unusable. 1st gear ratio on the A10 is 4.696 vs 2.66 on the M6, which yields an overall gear ratio of 13.01 (4.696 * 2.77) vs 9.92 (2.66 * 3.73), and M6 guys say first gear is borderline usable already.

No need. At least for the M6. The gears are way better matched than the T56.

Must have been another senior moment to type 3.73 when I discussed the 2.85 in another thread

I have the auto which is 2:77. I imagine 3.73 would be a blast to drive in the auto.

Yea, you could probably go 10 ft in low gear
