Standard Gear 3.08 ring & pinion?

Guy hit me up and said that Standard Gear has 3.08 gear for the 16' Camaro. They have it labeled as a GEN 5 gear but say that the diffs are the same. Any truth to this?

Me too. It will make these 28's worth while. Not sure how I am going to like them on the highway but I wanna go fast.

Did a quick check using the stock ECM's 748 revs/mile and it seems the 3.08s would only raise the cruising rpm in 8th gear at 75mph by a couple hundred rpm over the 2.77 gears.

Richmond gear says it's the same when I called but I'm still a little skeptic. Also texas speed performance list them as working for a 2016.

Does anyone have pics of a Gen5 SS diff? Snowblind has pic of the stock Gen6 SS diff in his gear swap thread.

They are externally different but the ring and pinion could be the same?

you won't even notice the change on the hwy. I run 28's with my 3.00 and I don't think it moved but a couple 100 rom and I'm still getting 22mpg

You went with an entire new rear section correct.
