Anyone gone 8's on the bottle yet?

Nitrous guys, what does it take to go from 9's on motor to 8's on the bottle? Would a 250 shot done and applied properly at that level get you there? Not sure if this conversation has already happened on this site.

Not saying I was going to do it. Just exploring my options. To get this P1 head unit up to a D1X is going to cost me $1,500 minimum. Then there is fuel and bla, bla, bla. I think I could do a pretty good stand alone nitrous kit for 2K. I am going to redo the pistons and what not anyway and I think I just cracked the code for tuning big cams. I kind of like the cam now. It was just a thought.

Not without another form of boost. I think redline went in the w/procharger but they were spraying also.

You'd have to spray 250 shot or more to get there.

I know there are some dual power adder guys there. Are there any single power adder guys there yet.

A 250 shot doesn't bother me. Guy contacted me and said he was either running 9.6 or 9.4 with a 250 shot SBE/cam/bolt ons. Not sure the rest of his combo.

I would do forged stock replacement pistons with a proper gap first. Then fly cut appropriately this time for my cam. I am going to rework the MSD and possibly the heads as well. I doubt I would change the cam specs any. I could run E85 still on motor and run C16 for the stand alone nitrous.

Pray I heard its better to run like fuels with nitrous. If you are running e85 in the tank then why not use c85 in the standalone? Or running pump gas then use c16. Can you explain your reason?

The simplest answer is that I don't know much about nitrous. Never used it before and I don't do nitrous builds. Well, I build motors and what not for nitrous but don't build or run the system. I know some guys that live on the bottle though. They take over the builds from there. So I have a good base working knowledge and understand the tuning and fueling etc. I was just going to defer to them for that portion of the build. Running like fuels makes perfect sense to me. Thanks for pointing that out.

Here is a story I just did on the Fireball Camaro. It was just released today. Gives a little bit of behind the scenes into the effort made to be the first in the 8s.

I read the story, great work. I am not up on my suspension stuff as much as I should be but I am there power wise now to need some upgrades. Will your products work/benefit a 2SS with MRC? It didn't look like you guys replaced the shocks so I would think us MRC guys would be good with just the springs and what not. Sorry for the dumb question. I think being able to adjust camber more back towards vertical will definitely help hook this car. The tires now are leaned inward at stock height. When the car squats it gets really bad.

Also, since this is my daily and I appreciate ride quality, how bad will it be driving around on end links vs. Derlin or the rubber that is in there now? I see the need for adjustability but are there any plans for a direct fit Derlin versions of the trailing arms? That also goes for a request for possibly a Derlin product for the diff mount spots over or instead of the aluminum versions?

Thanks.

I noted the new 2018 Mustang in drag mode puts the front shocks on baby soft and the rears on hard. I don't if the MRC can be controlled in the same way on the Camaro. Optimally it would be:
front: Jounce = baby soft, rebound = hard
rear: Jounce = rock hard, rebound = medium

MRC does not have this level of tune. I ran Hal's on my LS1, one way adjustable and very light.

My Challenger suspension bushings really sucked from the factory, I swapped it all out and it made a difference. I did not go aluminum though.

I thought the zl1 1le had at least aluminum on the cradle. Anyway if were me I'd look to see what the ZL1 is running as a good compromise. Delrln (self lubricating) is nice but needed for the cradle, at lest to my mind.

I've also run BMR and their stuff is good... real good.
