I know that I have the Maggie and can pull into the gas station and run straight pump e85 or straight pump 93 Octane with no problems. I don't have to make any changes to my tune...Of course my Camaro hasn't been out of the garage for over a month now I have to change the spark plug wires and been traveling like crazy.

I went to run at the track 2 times this summer and got rained on both times. The day before I filled it up with e85 and headed to the track...weather didn't cooperate. The Camaro is about to be my daily driver when the Vette goes in for some "minor improvements."

anyone can make 700 on all e with LT4 fuel parts and a cam lobe! Not that you need more power, if the car is setup correctly should run 9s or better at the track.

But down here in Houston we use the cars on the street as much or more than the track.. anything less than 1000s you might as well stay home and play with yourself.

The twin turbo lambo kit maker lives here (you may recall him as having the 1st rear mounted 6 gen 9 sec car also builds a ton of manifolds for LS and LTs James Goertz) making kits non stop.. Mclaren's, lambo's and ferrari's seen every day not to mention some 1000cc bikes..

I'm sorry but I get my kicks out ruining there day more than going to the track..

It's all fun untill your day gets ruined by those flashing blues and reds and you watch your vehicle get hauled away on a tow truck. For most people the track is good enough.

ya your right.. but, why even own such a nice car and have that much power then..

If I were to own a track car it be an old in expensive light POS like a Honda civic with converted all wheel drive..

Because you can still use that power at the track without fear of the law or running into somebody and at the same time you have all the new creature comforts. Also to me it seems that it takes more skill to race at the track vs 3 honks and mash the gas so there's that extra competitiveness that goes along with it waiting for them lights to fall.

Off topic: been to TX2K multiple times. The most fun/competitive/non-drama is 700-900hp. Above that egos and money get too high everyone complains about traction.

Someone claiming to run on the “street” and will only use regular street tires and a manual ZL1 wouldn’t keep up with a 750hp A10 Coyote....

I hope 6GenMike takes this car to the TVS Shootout next year. I think he’s got the best chance of beating the Coyotes.

Honestly, I would be shocked if Magnuson ever did port injection. There is no room for it.
I agree!!!

Really? How many convertibles have you seen running 9’s? I am sorry, did you say 0?

I can easily bump into the 800’s too. Just not sure why I would chase a dyno number since I do not race on the street and a track requires a roll cage unless I get the right event.

Fyi - I think I posted the video and the graph, but my setup was just over 800 and then we dialed it back for street. I haven’t had the car out for a few months now so I don’t remember which pulley I have on now. I think I dropped it back to the 8-10psi. So I am probably running closer to 720-750whp now. I do know that from a roll in my car (as it sits) I have to be very careful punching it at 40-50mph. It was crazier at 800...once I get DR’a maybe I will up it again.

But that’s cool. I look forward to your move to port injection. Then when you run Shizzy on the street we can put this silly nonsense to rest. It will be nice to see if the DI car can keep up or if you blow him away for the extra spend.

I just wish the Tvs Throwdown was not in Atlanta, that is a long trip and I made it last year and not a fan of the drive at all. Wasn't all that impressed the track at Commerce either.
