Another oil change thread? Really dude?

I know WWIII is all about oil change intervals and what oil to use and it’s been fought on this forum since day one and makes the Battle of the Bulge look like a street fight. So I’m not adding my two cents……

But this guy just might help change some minds about the infamous oil life monitor

I’ll just leave this here:

This means nothing, surely you don't think this was caused by following the oil life monitor. That's just ridiculous. Several idiots don't change their oil and everyone should start changing their oil every time they pull out of the driveway, have at it.

Every 5k or 1 year, whichever comes first for me. No way am I following some OLM that could suggest waiting 10k miles. No one ever replaced an engine because the oil was too fresh or changed too often.

I follow my OLM but it still works out to an average of every 5k miles.
