I really want these rims but the seller is not sure will fit gen6.

I guess what I need to know is if a 20x8.5 front and 20x9.5 will rub or not fit my car. These are ZL1 reproduction rims found on eBay for $975 to $1300 for a set of 4. I dont know what the correct offset is for my car or even what an offset is. I just want this $1650 wheel and tire combo from the vendor with the wheels in the attached pics. He says he is "not sure if they will rub or not"...but his ad says they will fit 2010-2021 (but the description says fits 2010-2015 gen5 cars; but the pictures are all gen 6 cars like the grey one below.

I could use "Rims 101" from you guys.

For your camaro based on your name description: 2020 1LT

https://www.wheel-size.com/size/chevrolet/camaro/2020/

The offset will be important depending on the type of brakes you use.

6 piston Brembos is a larger brake system, than like my car which uses 4 Piston. Offsets will be different between the two.

Rubbing won't really be the issue on those wheels if I am not mistaken, the offset with brake system will be.

An offset, if I'm not mistaken is how far from the center of the wheel itself to the inside or outside of the wheel. How far from the center line the wheel hub/spokes are from that center line. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong here.

Thanks for that reply flukeSS. My gut says they will fit too. I dont have big brakes. I just have caliper covers. I have the "Camaro by brembo" 4 pist calipers sitting in a box marked "future project". If the 18" wheels will fit them the 20x8.5 should with my whimpy brakes. (I would not have bought the car if I thought for a second that it didnt have 4 piston calipers to go with the 3.6 and the 6 speed. I was shocked to find out it didnt at least have the GM OEM J55 4 piston front brakes.
Thank you for your help.

Here's your stock wheels/offsets. The ET number is the offset

Also note this looks like a square setup stock. I'll let someone else chime in with more experience with converting from square to stagger.

If you want to run the staggered wheel widths like the V8 Camaro then you will want to reference the correct offset for those wheels:

6th Gen tire and wheel specs:
- 245/40ZR20 8.5Jx20 ET +25mm front
- 275/35ZR20 9.5Jx20 ET +39mm rear

5th Gen tire and wheel specs:
- 245/45ZR20 8Jx20 ET +35
- 275/40ZR20 9Jx20 ET +40

The seller may be correct that these wheels won't fit your Camaro. The offsets for the 5th Gen Camaro wheels are different than the 6th Gen so you will want to confirm the correct offset before you purchase. There are several vendors that offer ZL1 wheel styles so you won't have any problem finding wheels with the correct offset if the ebay wheels you're looking at aren't correct.

Yes this is exactly the wheel/tire sizes I am looking at. I dont plan on putting 6 piston rotors on it....just the "Camaro by brembo" 4 pots I have sitting in a box. Now that it runs and drives SUPER stable I am kins of afraid to even mess with the 18"s. But I'm not feeling my wheels. Never planned on keeping tgem and I dont care for the windmill-in-motion 5 star RS/1SS rims. I just love how mean tge Zl1rims and tge Z28 rims look. Not trying to be a cloner...just doing my own thing. Thank you guys do much for the advice. I have two quote so now I have the Gen6 offset #s thanks to your posts. Thank ypu guys very, very much!!!
