Rev limit concern
I was going about 15 using tap shift on a LFX V6, and decided to pass some body but forgot I was in manual tap and the car went all the way up the rev limiter and jerked me then switche gears. It all good?

I wouldn't worry about it there is a reason they put the rev limiter in the cars so that it forces you to shift or have a substantial drop in power before you do any damage to the car. I wouldnt leave it up there regularly but bumping it off the rev limiter a time or two has never hurt any of my former vehicles.

Being a noob to paddle shifters I've hit the downshift a couple of times by mistake. (learned to leave my left hand almost off the wheel when going up) Never felt the limiter come in but she was turning some R's.
What is the recommended break in for the V6? |
