Apparently I got hit with this leak after I went in to get the oil cooler leak issue fixed.

I've also experienced this issue. My wife saw a couple of drops of red liquid after I pulled out the garage.

I took the car to the dealer the next day, it was there for three days.

I was never so glad to be out of loaner car.

My car had 6700 miles on it when the issue was discovered.

1. Not sure what you are asking here. Are you getting "car help help" or do you need "car help help"?
2. Also, could this be related to the shifting problem? Or was the shifting problem only with the manual 6speed?

Angry No.....Not again

The issue hit me again this week. Took car do the dealership and the had to re-tap the threads. The service guy told me if this doesn't work next step would be a new engine block.

My Camaro only has 9700 miles, last issue happened back in April this year.

I had the cross-thread issue fixed 2 years ago--haven't had a problem since. Hopefully they can get this taken care of for you.

Thread resurrected, I now have the fitting leak, I crawled under there myself and found it leaking after smelling antifreeze. Called my service manager and he said they would replace under warranty, taking this bulletin with me though just in case. The service manager knows this car is not stock, but, he also knows that this is a warranty fix unrelated to my mods. I would never ask the dealer to fix something that was related to my mods anyways, common sense. Car goes in Tues Nov 8th! I will post end result later. Wish me luck.

shouldn't be an issue...with my mods I had none and was fixed with no questions asked...but on a side note was just denied an oil cooler gasket replacement under warranty and they wanted some god awful amount of money to do it...

Finally reapired last week under warranty even with all my mods. No problems. Tech noted that it was loose and teflon seal didn't look right. Glad it wasn't cross threaded!

Found the cross threaded problem when the oil cooler (Heater IMO... especially w/headers) was being removed and the radiator fluid path had to be plugged. Toward the end of the day with everything closing. The shop fabricated a tap from a bolt..... almost stranded for an extra day. Good to know it was a TSB.

I just found this issue...Anyone repair it on their own? I hate letting the dealer work on my car it always comes back with new scratches.

Same question here
Anyone knows for sure what wrench/tool size we need to tighten the fitting that comes to the engine block? I tried with the pliers but definitely need something more suitable. The tool size appears to be 1/8 but the regular wrench is to huge to work over there.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated!
