Z28 springs same as 2014-2015 SS YUP
Found out yesterday after taking pictures of a Z28 in the showroom at a dealership that the part # for the springs are the same as on the SS of the same year. Also the Z28 feels stiffer than the rear of my car with Bilsteins Pss10 set to full stiff with BC racing 12K springs maybe though that the Z28 has stiffer cradle bushings and I have stock 2012 SS ones. Honestly though seems like the Z28 spring is stiffer while my Bilstein rear shock valving is stiffer than the Z28. I just had road magnet a month ago make me some 13K rear springs but seems like the Z28 rear spring might actually be stiffer than the 12K BC ER series rear spring. Also the Z28 rear feels as stiff as a Pedders Supercar rear with full Pedders kit. Z28 owners I would upgrade swaybars and leave the rest alone.

Some racers have found the suspension too stiff for certain tracks, the non-smooth ones. Adjustability is never a bad thing although I agree it would take some serious coin to get something as good or better thats adjustable.

No they are not the same, the Z28s are stiffer per the original specs. Also the springs, shocks and wheels, tires all are set up for the road course. Ride hight is different also.

Part numbers are different. Not the same springs.

22903663 is the number I took a picture of on the Z28 rear. Took that photo to the parts guy and he said so. He also showed me the list on the computer that showed that, wonder if this is a mistake in their software data listing. Maybe they made a mistake. I figured how can they be the same. Oh well guys at least they are available but unfortunately the shocks and struts are still restricted. Good news is my Bilstein PSS10 rear shock can handle the rear Z28 spring but then I already had Road Magnet make me a pair of custom 13K springs in red, don't ask the custom spring price.

Yes I have to admit also that the only thing making my stiff ass suspension road friendly is the Hankook RS3 which at 30 PSI is quite refined to ride on with stiff suspension, with Pirelli Trofeo R will be stiffer. I am thinking of 295-30-19 Trofeo Rs because they are cheaper than the 305s , fit the 10.5"wide rims tighter and are still as wide as the RS3 305s.
