What is my Z worth?

First, I really don't want to part with this, but my wife thinks she does...and it's hers.
1998, Z28, convertible, auto, white with black leather, ONLY 5000 miles, all original, north of Indianapolis area.

Let me know what you think. Thanks

Sounds nice. I think you would regret it for what you might get for hit.

Honestly you will be lucky to pull in $12k on a good day.

The 4th gen market continues to get worse and worse.

I agree with this. Nice early 5th gens are now around $20k, the dropping 5th gen prices will beat the 4th gen down even further. I dont think you would really get a price that would make you feel good, if I were you I would just take it out a few more weekends a year and keep enjoying it. A couple people in my area also have very low mileage LS1 cars for sale at $15-20k, they have been for sale for quite a few months now and arent going anywhere.

Part of it is the age, regardless of condition. Most people aren't going to have 15-20k just sitting around to put on a car, thus needing to get financing. However, most banks aren't going to give you a loan (or at least not with good terms) on a 1998 vehicle, even though it has basically no miles.

This is what I ran into. I was originally looking for a mint 4th gen instead of the 2010 I have now. However, most of the nice/low mile 4ths were pushing $20k already. Even if I could get the loan, the interest was insane. It just ended up not being much more money to get a car that's ~10 years newer. Insurance and tags, however, are a different story!

OP, if I had to guess, I would say maybe $15k if someone has the coin and really loves it. Convertible can make it a harder sell, too, unless you find that perfect buyer.
