Looks like I am finally going to finish the rest of my exhaust on my car. I wasnt planning on it but a company reached out to me called XForce Exhaust wanted me to try their catback on my SS 1LE.

This is what their Varex Muffler & 4" Quad Tips look like. They shipped me two 3" inch mid pipes as well one resonated and non resonated. I wasn't expecting that. If I had the original exhaust manifolds these would bolt up just fine but l need to do a little modification from my Kooks headers catless connection and back and remove the flange they had for passenger side. Overall the quality looks good I cant wait to hear it. I wasnt planning on removing the stock NPP setup but i guess you cant deny blessings that falls into your lap. LOL

The good thing now is that I will have 3in of pipe all the thru the car and drop the suitcase.

If anyone interested I may have a resonated midpipe and dual 4in tips available you just need to get an axleback or have a shop add on a 3in pipe for muffler delete to complete the setup. I will comment back on what I decide to do.

Since that "The Racing Channel" coming to my area and having a drag racing and rolling racing event, I decided to take the passenger seat out and enjoy this one man cockpit. I'm not sure how much weight I lost but I did a rear seat delete, no pass seat and remove all minimal weight as possible from the car included wiper fluid.

That passenger seat is heavy, at least 40 pounds, but man, ditching wiper fluid was hardcore Then again, the ZL1 1LE has thinner rear glass from the factory, so you're not the first to reach for every single straw around.

The next crazy move is carbon fiber up front, I only went as far as swapping the radiator cover because not racecar, but you can get a hood, fenders, maybe even a front bumper, and that would help even more as weight is dropped from around the engine bay.

When taking the passenger seat in and out you really need to be careful not to scratch the door panel. The way you need to swing the seat out really makes it easy to hit it. Maybe drape a big towel over the door first. For how close it gets I bet it’s just a matter of time.

Then also realize your airbags are off.

LOL i know right, the windshield wiper fluid was HUGE gains..said Nobody LOL It was already low anyways so I said i'll refill it afterwards but it hardly rains here so i dont use it. I have more rock chips than anything. Idk if I would do the CF hood, fenders I heard they dont drop that much weight but I guess you cant put a value on weight savings. I didnt know they have carbon fiber front bumper for our cars. That's really extreme but i would like to see it. I heard the trunk would shave a good amount though.

I think this will be the farthest I will go and possible add a drag pack for the rear and call it a day for the street. I keep spinning in 2nd gear but well see. The ol lady already complaining about the garage looking like a tire shop lol

Your absolutely right! I got lucky this first time since I was taking my time but I will definitely put a towel down when putting it back in because I hate to see that eye sore and touch up paint may not fix it.

It's funny you mentioned that too. I did get a "Service Restraint System" once I removed it. I wondered if all airbags are off or if the driver side still had functionality. I wonder did people do a workaround, not like I want it but curious

Finally got the XForce Varex Exhaust installed. It looks really good! The 4inch tips really made the rear end looks good on the camaro.

Also, I shared a video below what I put on Youtube based on my roll racing experience. I have feasted well. I beat a Stage 1 C8 which is Cordes Performance development car which will be getting heads and cam soon. Also I raced a Honda Civic, Q50, and WRX. Im very please with my shifting and how far I came and how well the car did. I really learned my car over this past weekend and learned that starting off at 5K RPMs this car launches like CRAZY!

I will be getting a rear drag pack soon. I am not sure which setup to get. I am debating between Forgestar or VMS. I would like Welds/Bogart but they are out my budget since I'm not a full time drag racer but I enjoy roll racing and road course more. I just want something that can prevent me from spinning.

I scored a deal here luckily and found a guy locally trying to get rid of his brand new 17x10 VMS wheels for 400. Next stop is tires but I am at a crutch because I dont know should I go 26" or 28" but well see.

I created a thread here: https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=620409

Now I have wheels that fit each occasion for me now, Stock 1LE Wheel (daily), Apex ARC 8 (road course) and the VMS wheels (roll racing at closed course drag strips)

If you keep your stock fronts you need a 305 rear(wider) tire

My vote is et street r. You can use them on the street then

Ok sweeeet! that's what I was leaning towards since I it seen it most commonly used but was curious since I read 26" are better for manuals vs 28" but it didnt seem right on the tire size calc. Maybe I just do a 305/45 and call it a day. 305/35 looked very promising though.

After spending some more time on it, I realized these are my two options:

Stock Size:
285/30/20
305/30/20
F: 26.7”
R: 27.2”

Drag Pack w/ 20 & 17
285/30/20
305/45/17
F: 26.7”
R: 27.8”

Drag Pack w/ 19 & 17
275/35/19
305/45/17

F: 26.6”
R: 27.8”

As long as I have a 35 up front I can run it with 19s other wise I can run stock 20s. Which seems good enough for me.

I finally got my 17” wheel setup and should have been plenty of grip for my needs now. It’s a lot of side wall that I wasn’t use too! Lol I’m so used to track wheels but looks like I won’t have no issues having grip. I decided to go with the 555R2 just in case I get caught in the rain and I go back and forth to the track using the same car. So we’ll see how these go. Heard lots of good things about them.
