If that’s the case I’d say the only reason why was we ran the day before also. Got a chance to feel the track out. I felt like a fish out of water trying to wrestle that much power. We added 80 horse and 160 drag lbs the day before and the first pass on Saturday was quite literally my first time down the strip with that power.

Im Forged because the stock LT1 came apart on us. Pistons surprisingly didn’t look to be the issue. I think a rod collapsed. Who knows for sure. Id definitely recommend upgraded internals.

I'm aware of bent connecting rods, bent pushrods, and collapsed lifters, but that one wasn't making a bit of sense to me (and I'm not exactly new to this).

Thanks! That 10 second goal is keeping me motivated. It would be great for not only me, but for others to break through that barrier. There are quite a few folks that don't post on these boards, it's quite possible others have done it already. Since I've only seen 1 other ZL1 at the track in person, I assume there aren't that many being raced, at least in my area.
