Still say the new Z/28 shouldn't be street legal.
Then we can have the 650HP N/A screamer in a 3700lb package.

I thought all those modifications would hurt the resale value, apparently not..

Why not just try to get a COPO and build it for the track, would probably cost way less.

and from the money you’d save by not buying a Ford GT, you could get a ZR1 and CTS-V to keep it company

I don't think the person who is in the market for a Ford GT is going to consider a ZR1 or a CTS-V. Both of those cars are far too pedestrian. Nothing GM sells is on their radar.

If I were able to cover the cost of a Ford GT I would;
Let my sons fight over my ZL1 1LE, in a very pedestrian manner of course.
Purchase; 2019 ZR1,
Covered trailer, track day equipped. Stocked with wheel/tire setups, pads, tools and parts.
2018 Duramax 2500HD with 5th wheel.
Build a new fully equipped garage with a lift.
Semi retire.
Set up an account with Pasha Hawaii.
Track every North American road circuit available every other season. For a couple of months late summer-early autumn.
Dramatically increase my seat time, and the smile lines on my face.

Pedestrian? Perhaps so. Good enough for this hard working red blooded American man. Though possibly not refined enough for the Ford GT/ Euro supercar crowd.

...As the ZR1 easily passes the GT, as if the Ford were merely a pedestrian.

To be fair at the end of the day it's still just a corvette. Might be the most bad ass Corvette ever built and one of the best performing cars ever, but still a Corvette lol. And I am Corvette guy lol

Looking at the poll results looks like the majority wants a beefed up LT1

Or a $55K price tag vs $75K?

I don't meant that in any sarcastic way, it's just that there are two valid variables in these options.
