My son already washed the car and we put it back in the garage for Saturday anticipating the storms on Friday.

Yeah, Friday. My bad. It's only 40% though but of course the TV guys were blowing it out of proportion

Well bad news i ran over a screw somewhere and cant get a replacement tire for 4 days it had to be ordered...I have called everywhere but decided to wait since it is being covered under the tire warranty. Thank god i bought that they are paying $150 towards the cost of a new tire. i also talked to the dealer and they told me that they could install the LS9 supercharhed engine into my beast and still be covered under warranty they are looking to see what all is needed to put the engine in and the cost. Well atleast when I sell the engine I have in it now i will get a good chunk of the money back. That engine is gonna make that car ever more bada$$. Once I get a detailed listing from them I'll post it up so others interested can also have it done. I guessing anywhere from 13-20k which is still cheaper than the hennesey package and GM covers it all. Federal law requirements are the cubic inches cant go higher than what was it in when built unless you install yourself and the LS9 is the same cubic inches. do yall think since this is all a vette chasis it should require a whole lot of modifing. I thinking the motor mounts xmission and gearing should all remain the same just change engines and tune should just about do it. I have researched it quite a bit but without actually seeing the kit its just to hard to get a concrete idea on what will need to be changed. The dealer said they would like 3 weeks so they can take their time and make it gets down right since they havent done that before and that it would prolly draw more people their way since they have actually done it. Anyone that has thoight about doing this and did some research on it please feel free to share what things you have ran across

thx

Is the tire repairable?

according to them no cause i asked if they could patch/plug it. They also told me not to use the flat repair kit the car comes with cause the goo ,like fix-a-flat, will get onto the air pressure sensor and they dont think that will be covered under warranty. i called customer service to see if the sensor was damaged "if" i had used the kit and they had to forward to higher to see cause no one has asked that b4...just a heads up....they, GM, will call me tomorrow around 6pm and let me know if the sensor is damaged, using their kits, would it be warranty repair

Its only a slow leak but still a leak def not worth having a blow out and possibly wrecking my baby

If the screw is not 1" in diameter and not in the sidewall I see no reason why it cannot be patched. Unmount, patch, remount and you are back on the road.

Save the fix-a-flat replacement spare tire for when you may need it. It is a one use only deal.
