I was willing to pay CSP to remote tune mine for this traction management thing he referenced, but they told me they don't do remote tunes and only do it on car they tune in person. Bummer Im in Montana and a long ways away. So I guess that leaves it up to me to try and figure out myself. Hopefully with the help of this forum, maybe we can figure it out. It would be a game changer for me. I wonder if its a combination of limiting throttle blade, timing in !st gear only, plus torque management settings. Can the traction control function itself be modified in the tune or is that in the BCM..... I know he leaves traction control on, but not sure in what mode or setting.

No you can't by gear but you can pull timing in the low to midrange part of the timing map which will make it launch easier and not hit as hard from a low roll.

Yea, that should work. You just have to take some of the power/torque away in at least 1st and 2nd gears where a sizeable percentage is unusable.

The encrypted T93 TCM is the reason why I scrapped my plan to buy a 2020 or newer ZL1. The T93 will never be unlocked/broken by any aftermarket shop and engine mods without the ability to tune the A10 Transmission will prevent getting the power to the ground no matter what the Tuning shop says. |

There is a parameter in the TCM that allows you to control torque by gear. Not that hard to find. You can also lower your peak torque in the ecm and it will have the same effect.

In the T93 TCM? If yes, this is great news since really all we're talking about here is limiting torque for the first second or two after launch

Can you control throttle blade position by gear? Or even by RPM in each gear? Maybe limit throttle opening to 50% the first half of 1st gear then slowly open to 100% by the time it shifts to 2nd, then 100% rest of the run?

There is a aftermarket torque converter on the horizon for the A 10 that will help launch like a MOFO.

I will stand corrected on both counts if you will please tell us the name of the shop that has: 1. Unlocked/broken the encrypted T93 TCM on the 2020 + ZL1 2. Tuned the A10 transmission for 2nd gear start, shift points and torque mgt. like Andrew at CSP did on his 2018 ZL1. |
