MyLink Text App

Does anyone know how this thing works? My iPhone (6S Plus, iOS 9.2 Beta) is connected via bluetooth and yet I can't get my text messages to come up in MyLink. I have the notification turned on but it still doesn't come up and the inbox button is blacked out. Everything else available through bluetooth works though.

I think text is only via usb. Could be wrong though. I am on android. It also doesn't display them for me, just says them out loudand let's me reply with voice

Mine doesn't even display, read them, or let me reply. If it's through USB only that's stupid because I can just use CarPlay.

In order to use Car Play, you have to have the phone connected with USB. You can use music (Spotify/iTunes) over bluetooth, but to use the Car Play features like integrated phone/messaging, you have to have it connected with cable. It is frustrating, I wish the cable connection wasn't needed for Car Play, hopefully that need will be eliminated in a future update to Car Play.

I understand that it needs it for CarPlay, but I'm talking about the Chevy texting app not the CarPlay one.

Have you gone into Settings --> Bluetooth --> Chevrolet MyLink and enabled "Show Notifications"? I know that I have heard of folks having issues with MyLink and iPhone's when it comes to the texting.

My android galaxy note edge is constantly connecting and disconnecting. Anyone having this issue

No cable needed, outside carplay....works on my 6th gen.....
