M6 issues..
Clutch is too catchy when cold, than when it warms up it seems too lose grip.
No matter how slowly I let this thing out it wont grab consistently. Any ideas, once the thing gets into 2nd its awesome, the streetability on this clutch is shitty. Could it be the fact that the clutch and brakes share the same master and fluid? Any suggestions? One of the posts mentioned that switching too a McLeod RST solved its streetability issues. |

I haven't had any problems. I did notice at first that the clutch seemed tight, but now with about 1100 miles on the car, the clutch feels perfect.

This has been one of my favorite manuals i've owned, very similar to my 2006 GTO just a little more spring in the rebound. Clutch feel is very dependent on each person, so they have to try to make everyone happy.

I do have problems with jerking the car around when it is at high idle at very first start, but once it comes down it's less of an issue.
I have more trouble with the delay in the gas pedal than the clutch. When I release the clutch and press the gas especially in first and second gear when the car has so much power I find the throttle response gives me nothing initially, then jerks on. I have to be very careful at the first bit of the gas pedal for that reason. It's like it doesn't believe you for the first 1/8 second you press the gas and doesn't open the butterfly valve. By the time it does you have pressed the gas too far thinking the trouble is that you didn't press it far enough and the car jerks with more power than you intended. Whiskey |

Try different drive modes. They change throttle response...that may help your "jerky" throttle issues.

Funny. I just came from a 2005 GTO with a manual. Drove it for 11 years. LOVED that manual, but this one feels better--although it's a bit of an adjustment. I find that the sweet spot in the clutch is smaller, but that could just be because my GTO's was so worn. As for the shifter, the throws are shorter and gear engagement feels more snickety-snick positive.
