Deciding between 17 1LE vs 15 1LE vs 15 ZL1

Good evening everybody My name is cody and Im in the market to purchase one of the following vehicles this summer. A 2017 1LE, 2015-14 1LE, and finally a 2015-14 ZL1. All of which are in the mid 45k range and below. Previously I was a 2015 v6 Camaro owner but I decided to ditch it so I may take the next step up the big boy ladder. I hope you guys/girls can help me make a better decision considering that at the moment I am really indecisive about the 3. Below is a small list of things that will not bother me, and a couple of things that may influence my decision.

Influencers
-I will be daily driving this vehicle (4x week)
-Reliability (supercharger)
-Manual transmission
-best bang for the buck
-operating costs/ Maintenance (excludes gas)
-aftermarket performance/parts
-Will be taken to track
-Exhaust note

Not bothered by
-fuel economy
-Depreciation
-suspension
-Small windows

Any ways I hope you can all help me.
Thank You

+1 Gen 6 Camaro is a major leap forward in any way you can think of and the new 1LE is the ultimate performance bargain for sure. I looked but couldn't find any alternatives that can provide that kind of performance, technology for the price ..

+2 on the 17 1LE. I've had mine for about 3 weeks and I've not once regretted the decision. As others have already said, the gen6 1LE is pretty darn close to on par performance with the gen5 ZL1. If you are able to test drive both I would definitely recommend it. Having been the owner of 2 gen5's and now my gen6 I can say first hand that they are completely different beasts.

I will second this.

You'll enjoy the Mag Ride of the 1LE for your daily drive. But at heart...it's a 1SS, so maint. costs are low compared to other trim levels.

Reliability, I'd say would be a wash between the three...

And even though you said fuel economy doesn't bother you...for a 4-time-a-week daily driver...it's the best of the three, as well.

17 1LE! I have a 14 1LE and the 17 is soo much nicer. Not talking horsepower or weight but just technology, comfort and enjoyability.

Having owned both a '15 1LE and now a '17 1LE. I'd have to say buck up for the '17 1LE, unless budget constraints keep you in the '15 1LE.

You will be looking at low $40's for the '17 but mid to high $20's for the '15. $15k to $20k worth of difference is your call. To me it was.

I would assume you have already pretty much made up your mind on this tho, posting here in the Gen 6 Forum

Unless budget constraint prevent it, this to me would be an easy decision. The 17 1LE hands down. The 6th gen platform is leaps and bounds a better all around car.

I always say fuel economy doesn't matter either, but eco mode in the c7 m7 on a long trip the 28-30 mpg is a nice little bonus.
ZL1 will get 16 all day long in Cali traffic
And depending on how long you own the car, it's likely you'll see $5+ Gal for premium!

17 1le. I just left a 15 1le at the lot.. Just don't ask that question on the 5 forum.... you'll get bashed if you prefer the gen 6...don't miss the 5 for a second.

I have to agree with everyone else, the 17 1LE is the way to go. I made the change just today. Went from a 2014 1LE with just 10K miles on it to a new 2017 1LE. It's a completely different car in all the best ways. I wasn't completely sold on the looks but seeing a 2017 1LE in person is much better than a picture.

Now my 2014 was a super reliable car so I have my fingers crossed that this one will be just as reliable.

Good luck.

I've had many corvettes (including a C7), and this 17LE1 is a C7 Z51 with a Camaro body to me.

Even traded a Vette for this car. Get the 17!!!
