My mechanic installed my E2X catch can yesterday. I'm happy with placement and how it looks. Anxious to see how it performs...

Who made the top bracket that mounts to the strut mount? looks good. I'm still in the middle of mine pain. It has been a PITA to find a decent place to mount it. Not a lot of room under there.

The 2-piece bracket I used is from Elite - but did not come with my can. I had to have them send it to me. They seemed to think the can could be installed in front of the engine with some other bracket they sent - where the blower pulleys are - which is obviously not possible at all. The 2-piece bracket works good as shown on my install.

Honestly this is the only place it fits on this car!!

Can you iterate the three connection points, and maybe show a couple more pics of the routing?

It's a clean install but Locating the can right above the exhaust manifold is not in my mind an ideal location. All that heat coming off the exhaust manifold has surely got to reduce the effectiveness of the can to condense the blow-by vapors.

I'll be finding that out soon enough when I get to first oil-change and drain the can...

If i remember correctly from my corvette days. The drain valve on that can has a plastic handle. You might want to keep an eye on that and be careful touching it if the car was running recently. Just a thought...

This version has a metal (aluminum?) handle and drain. There is a threaded plastic nipple that you can run with a tube out through the bottom of the car. I didn't mount the nipple.

Installed mine at 2K miles, once I get the car up to ~4K miles I'm going to do an oil change, empty the catch can, and take the SC lid off to see how much puddling this can prevents.

Having said that, I'm at 3K miles now and the car hasn't used any oil. But, I also have not tracked, raced, hammered the hell out of it all that much either.

KWAV8R is correct it has a metal handle on the drain valve. I did install the nipple and plan to use the "drain hose out the bottom of the car" method when the time comes.
