You should add me to some sort of list so AS soon as you can order me some parts I can buy them from you!

Also I see you have the GM performance exhaust listed have you heard it installed? is it worth it?

241 hp is a terrible number for a 335 hp motor.

Believe me we were as surprised as you to see the numbers so low. We were hoping to see in the range of 260-270.

Isn't the drivetrain loss on the SS around 15%? The V8 is dropping to 400-405 on the dyno I believe. A 50-55hp loss. This V6 lost 94hp?!! That's around 28% drivetrain loss. Am I figuring that correct? The gearing between the LT and the SS is close so surprised there is that big of a difference in loss.

I'm sure a lot of it has to do with not dynoing in the 1:1 gear, and hitting the speed limiter before they could hit redline. I'm sure the car is probably making closer to 270ish at the wheels.

That number does seem low. I just had a dyno day this past weekend and my 2016 v6 automatic with NPP dyno'd at 277rwhp.

Interestingly enough, exactly the same rwhp as my 2014 Camaro v6 *6spd manual*

well this car is around 300 pounds lighter and has almost no bump in power from GEN5 so I would expect the same RWHP.

0-60 and quarter mile seems to be fairly obvious that the dyno testing is being hampered by top end speed at telling what peak hp is.

But more importantly it's telling us that peak horsepower / torque is not as important as people would like us to think it is.

What's important is the avg hp and torque for the speeds (power band) you see in actual real life use of the vehicle. And it seems definitive that where it actually matters (less than 160mph) ...the lgx is quite the beast compared to the lfx and in past motors (be them v8's or not) before it.

Coming from a 2011 V6 LLT I can say the motors are awesome the 270hp range seems more logical those with run-flats have the limiters set at 155-158MPH those running A/S from factory I think are still around 128MPH on the limiter. They are clearly set for safety factors in mind. My 2017 LTG just put down some crazy numbers on the dyno yesterday on a dyno that had 5th Gen numbers consistent with everyone elses. We had a mostly stock V8 with an Intake was around 364RWHP. A few cammed and tuned ones running 462 and 471RWHP.

I don't know, for 241hp I was keeping up with a 15 SS pretty well on the freeway one day...
