I have one installed along with a ported throttle body. It’s totally worth it. My car also has headers and a tune but after plugging this thing in the throttle response is almost scary. it’s so good. You can dial it down to about 60% with the included fuse. I left the fuse out (100% response) and haven’t looked back. You won’t be disappointed. No CEL either.

I don't understand why you would run this if you have a tune. It seems like you should be able to set the tune up to do any kind of pedal response you want.

I'm only interested to see how much it drops my reaction time at the drag strip.

Can a tune do the same as this thing?
I have a DiabloSport i3 Platinum, wonder if this tuner will do that?

Someone who actually tunes these cars will have to jump in here, but I would be pretty surprised if throttle response wasn't something you could tune.

I was told with my i3 tuner that you could only adjust pedal to a certain point with out it being an issue...
maybe this can get you the extra.,..
don't know just what I heard

There is no "throttle response" table in the LT1 ECM. There is a driver demand table that allows you to tailor how the power comes on in regards to throttle input.

Does tuning this table change throttle response in a way that would be different than interrupting the throttle signal and changing it?

The bad thing about the i3 tuner is it's pre loaded with some tunes, if throttle control is not in one of those tunes then you have to have a custom tune done by Diablo

So do you think the JMS PedalMax would be worth doing?

My car was tuned back in 2016 and my tuner is no longer in business. I don't plan on doing a new tune with a different shop until my heads/cam install is done next year.

Before the PedalMax, I did notice the throttle response was better with the tune vs without. But the PedalMax took it to another level. The great thing about the PedalMax is they sell a dial switch which allows you to adjust the sensitively on the fly (from 0-100%). there is also an included removable fuse that allows 100% or 60% sensitivity.

You can try messing around with a tune and maybe get the same effect or just buy this thing and have full adjustability when you want it (strip or street)

The Driver Demand table is referenced in torque values that correlate with another table. While you can modify the table, do it at your own caution. If you make too wild of changes to the DD table it makes the throttle very touchy as this table determines how much torque you have at a certain speed and throttle position.
