What Just Happened?? - Electronics Failed
I got in my car tonight after driving it earlier out to the curling club. Started the car and all sorts of warning lights came on ... Service Suspension System, Service TPMS, Service Theft Deterrent System.
Fuel/speed/HUD all dead ... although the compass seems to work (temperature sensor doesn't). The turn signals don't work, but the lights, radio/infotainment and nav systems seem to work fine. Can't shift driving modes either. It's been raining here pretty much constantly for the last 2 days (light mist) and I've been out in it ... car has 2300km on it. Any suggestions? Would there be one fuse causing this ... or are we looking at a major electrical short somewhere? (I WILL be taking it in to the dealership tomorrow AM, but knowing now might save me some worry)

Maybe try dropping the ground wire from the battery for 15 or so minutes and see if that does a reset.

If youre under warranty and are taking it in, leave it alone. "Reseting" anything by pulling fuses or battery cables can make the vehicle lose any information it may have stored at the time of the incident that now the dealer tech won't have any information to go off of other than your statement of what occurred.

It’s all working again ... after sitting in the garage for about an hour.
I’m calling the dealer in the the morning and see what they want me to do ... assuming it doesn’t do it again when I start it up.

I had a 2007 Corvette that would do strange stuff like that every other blue moon. It always went away after a few minutes. The engine would stay running, but pretty much everything else was off/disabled. The electric doors wouldn't even open.
I eventually noticed that the airbag trouble light on the dash was always the first light to come on. I also noticed that the problem seemed to go away if I lifted my weight up off of the seat. Once I was even able to make it come and go at will by lifting my left cheek up a tad. The next day I pulled out the divers seat and rerouted the wires that connect under the seat. Never happened again. I'm 99% sure that the problem was in the high speed data line. It was either shorting out somehow, or separating in the plug. The way the wires were originally routed from the factory put a lot of stress on the plug under the seat. Once I put some slack into them I never had that issue again. YMMV

I can say I'm not delighted to see how the hood vents drain straight into the engine compartment. I'd say it's certainly possible it's a moisture related issue, perhaps a plug not properly sealed. I agree don't unplug battery - it could clear code. Please let us know what you find.

Some had water leaks in the trunk due to a bad seated seal. Is your trunk wet inside where the 2nd battery is?

+1 on checking for wet electronics in the trunk.
+1 more for pull the battery leads for hard reset. Dunedon, don't let the dealer take your trunk divider away from you, the replacement doesn't stay in place. |

Along with pulling the battery leads for a hard reset, make sure the connections to the battery on on their nice and tight because if you have a loose connection that could cause some things.
