Trying to locate the suspension squeak

Got a squeak in the front end - drivers side as I pass over a bump. Doesn't happen always - minor annoyance at best.

Car is in the shop under 6 more days of warranty for a few items. The shop was able to reproduce the effect on the road, but due to the bad-ass nature of the suspension, they cannot reproduce it on the rack.

Haven't had time to scour the forums for similar threads, but wondering if any of you have experience similar to what I describe, what they might look/test for, and any outcome you've experienced.

Thanks!

I've had cars that had the bearing on top of the strut go bad, located where the strut connect to shock tower, seen under hood as well.

What other warranty work are you having done, if I may ask you?

Thanks for the reply to my hastily assembled post. Problem (noise) would seem to be coming from the Multimatic assembly somewhere, based on when/how it occurs. The dealership seems to agree, but is also wondering if it might not be a "loose brake pad hitting on the rotor making noise". Seems less likely, but anything is possible. Threw the post out in hopes that someone may have had a similar treasure hunt.

As for the other warranty work - try not to laugh... The car seems to be in great shape, other than the Z/28 "stickers" used on the door sills. Mine are peeling up, so the dealership is putting new ones in. Other than these 2 items, she's a happy car and I'm a happy owner.

Those bearings on top of the struts are troublesome across all makes/models.

Make sure an alignment is done if they indeed disassembled suspension items...
