OBX Exhaust!!

I just ordered an OBX exhaust. It's a 304 stainless steel (just like the headers) 3 inch cat-back. And it was less than $600!! Is anyone else running or considering this exhaust? I was gonna get a Flowmaster cat-back but I figured it would be better for me to have a matching system. Besides, Flowmaster is only 409 stainless steel and a good $300 more anyway. And does anyone know if it is a copied design?

I still think the GM NPP is the best exhaust out there.

If you have the 3" JBA catback it will sound like that for sure with your OBX LT's. My buddy has Kooks LT's and the JBA catback and his car sounds exactly like the video.

I finished the install and it came out really good!! My exhaust has a deeper more aggressive tone than before!! It isn't as loud as it was with the stock pipes and GMPP axle-back, but it has to break in. Not a lot of drone, almost none. And it's a bit faster too...despite what they say about cat-backs offering no performance gains. And my car hasn't spontaneously burst into flames either, lol!! I am very pleased with the entire set-up. The install was smooth and uneventful. Everything fit properly. And it came out clean as hell!! I will put up some pics of the exhaust later.

Nice. Glad your happy with the new exhaust. I've had my mbrp 3" cat-back since before my obx headers, and I have to say that 3" cat back has to be the way to go. I love the deep angry sound.

Thank you!! Yea I'd say 3 inch is the way to go. The only thing I don't like about the system is that it bottles down to 2.5 inches after the HFCs for a short distance where it connects to the cat-back and then it goes back to a 3 inch. However, I doubt that the bottling down has any significant effects...

Not yet. I was gonna make one today but we have single digit temps outside today. Maybe I can get a clip made by the end of the week!!
