What do you guys think of 2010 Camaro ss L99 vs 05 CLS55 AMG - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

stock camaro L99 and the camaro L99 with borla cat back and CAI intake vs stock 05 cls55 AMG, who would win in a head to head in any challenge, 0-60, quarter mile, both seem almost similar but too many different numbers from different site for the mercedes, what do u guys think?

People have been known to get into the low 12's with a cls55, so it should win in all straight line challenges. Not to mention it's automatic, so not much room for driver error anyways...

I know it's a 5.4-liter V-8 supercharged for 469horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque+ AMG speedshift and about 4300 lbs so...........

but i would say the Merc, would get you............my two cents

What about after jba cat4ward headers and cam and uplifter swap and tune haha then what will be the chances of getting that 05 cls55?

Haha I was hoping I didn't have to worry about needing a super charger so soon and figured maybe a cat back shorty headers cam kit intake and tune could get him then use the 5 grand after for a super charger haha, then he also wants to go head to head with me on his 07 ducatti 1098 stock against my 08 gsx600r with Leo vince full system, bmc race air filter and race oil filter and dyno tune for another 5 grand haha

sorry dude but the CLS55 AMG is in an entirely different class in so many ways.

its like a low 12 second at 117ish car............

what would be a good race is the CLS550 (non-AMG)..........thats probably about exactly the same as a stock L99 (13.3 @ 107)

my dad's got the CLS550 and i gotta tell you that thing MOVES pretty damn good for a big car.......2800 RPM gets you peak torque, 7 speed auto, geared pretty nicely. that thing will spin the 19 inch wheels from a stop with zero effort. FUN car when he lets be drive it
