5” intake

Wondering if a 5” intake would have any gains over my rotofab? I have SS3 cam and gpi ported heads and eventually am gonna do a rod mod. Also, it seems like no one really makes one for the SS unless I just haven’t came across one yet, but would it be a bad idea to make one? It seems like a pretty doable project at first thought.

give it a shot lol can’t hurt to try it out but you will likely need to DIY an intake that size. I think the largest is the JLT which is 110mm internally

See if GPI will open your rodmod manifold up to 102mm to run a NW102 throttle body

Yeah I wanna try to make one... just not sure what would be the right materials. It’d be even better if I could throw a 102 tb on it as well. Only reason I ask if I’d gain anything is because I don’t have anything special like you Clarkstar. Not a high hp/rpm setup

Aluminum tubing, silicone joiners, and some t-bolt clamps. Grab some sheet metal to make a box and some acrylic or plastic for a clear lid

Don’t forget a metal maf sensor adaptor to weld onto the aluminum pipe. Some sites sell larger premade housings as well if you look around online

Would I need an updated tune too? Or
Could I run it without getting it tuned again

You’ll need it to be retuned because of the larger maf
