AEM 30-0333 Wideband wiring

Just got this wideband and am not a fan of the pass through OBD2 connector, Can this be hard wired in instead? I am also considering either adding another OBD2 port if possible or moving the exsisting port to the glove box with the rest of the electronics so im not dancing on cables while driving. If anybody has any experience with molesting the port harness or wiring let me know.

I am also curious if anyone has some suggestions. Wanting to plug in a new AEM wideband and AEM 30-0311 ODB2. I'm worried my clutch foot will hit the connectors.

It's not in my way on my clutch foot, in my experience. BUT- I have considered buying a right-angle extension cable or a ribbon extension cable and running it to the center console stack or the glove box, because I have my AFR gauge mounted in the glove box. Then, you could just plug your tuning device into the plug by the center stack, or in the glove box, for example.

I recently installed the wideband and am not a fan of the pass through, i kick it whenever getting in/out of car.

I intend to splice into CAN-BUS wires on back side of ODBII. My understanding of this network is that devices can be added in parallel, so i assume it should be safe to splice into it instead of using pass through connector.

Ill post feedback whenever i get around to trying this. My number was pulled for smog so had to slap the normal narrow band back into car to kill the "permanent" check engine light.

I wound up doing the right-angle connector, routed it over to the center stack/console, and have everything tucked in there, including my MPVI2. The AEM gauge is in the glovebox, and I tucked a USB cable for the MPVI2 in the center console, exiting between the cover panel and the carpet by the passenger seat.

Everything is hidden, and I just plug in the right angle connector under the dash when I want to log or tune, otherwise, it is tucked up under the panel down there, and my aeroforce gauge is plugged in.

Not even close to hanging down now!
