What's Louder? Corsa Sport or Borla S-type?
I plan on putting LT Headers and High flow cats on my ZL1 in a year or less; I currently have the Borla Atak 3" Cat back system on my car and that will be far too loud with the LT Headers so I'm planning on going with either Cora Sport or Borla S-type but was wondering which is louder; Corsa Sport or Borla S-type?
I like the Corsa sound more than the Borla but I don't want the noise level after the LT Headers and new mufflers to end up being louder than it currently is with the just the Borla Atak 3" cat back. Thoughts?

Boral S-type is rated at 95db and the Borla Atak is rated at 105db I had the Corsa Sport on a 2017SS and loved it

I have heard both with LTs, however neither was on a ZL1. My 2005 GTO had LTs and a Corsa Sport. Hands down the Corsa will be louder as soon as soon as you give it any throttle. I absolutely love the Corsa sound, and with LTs it is just pure angry!!! But it will be loud.

I'm a fan of the NPP option (Borla). Cold starts are a lot more pleasing to the neighbors. Granted, I'm running the ATAK, but it's still nice to add or remove volume when you want. You could always keep the ATAK and cut and weld a resonator in the setup to lower volume. This would be based on you going with the Kooks setup though.
I suppose you could always offer a trade in the for-sale section too.

Corsa is loud and sounds great. The only reason I got the borla Stype is the NPP option for when my daughter is in the back seat. ARH headers with high flow cats will be next on the list.

The Borla ATAK mufflers are the loudest I've heard & the 304SS is the best.

MBRP is made of 409SS it will have rust on it in less than a year.
Been there done that. Corsa has no NPP valves. |

I talked with Corsa yesterday and the extreme is 107db and the guy didn't have the sport info in front of him but said it should be around 100db. I thought I read the SType was more near 98 db??

Thanks for the feedback guys, sound like I'll have to choose between the louder and better (in my opinion) Corsa Sport sound of the quieter and controllable Borla S-type sound.
Does anyone know if the Corsa Sport with LT Headers is street legal or if it's so loud that you'll get police tickets?

Borla S-type is apparently 95db and made to be used at tracks like Laguna Seca where they have a 95db max noise level restriction. Sounds like it's probably the safe bet. Too bad, I really like that Corsa sound!
