I did the mbrp black race axle back.. it’s a muffler delete with either dual or quad tips and also the Helmholtz to eliminate drone

The MBRP and Solo axlebacks are a great option for a muffler delete like Dvs510 mentioned. They are straight pipes with a Jpipe to eliminate drone and unwanted tones. So they sound pretty wicked without dropping a ton of cash.

If you are going to just chop up your factory exhaust, keep the stock tips and just run the straight pipe past the muffler.

Kooks axle back, it's made from 304 S.S. unlike 409 S.S. or worse.
If it's not 304 SS I won't touch it.

Borla is awesome also.

Dont do it, save a little more and get some texas speed long tubes with hi flow cats, it will be loud and make more power, plus you wont have to hack up any exhaust parts.

I installed MBRP Quad TIP Axle back this weekend. Dropped about 700ish for it. Sound is great, its a deeper tone, doesnt drone on hwy. Highly recommend this exhaust setup, the only issue I had was pipe fitting on an 16 A8...which was an easy fix with sandpaper/mallet and elbow grease.

If you have the money to blow (700+) go do it. Otherwise find a good muffler guy. $200 got rid of that ugly suitcase with custom 4" Magnaflow quad tips and sounds Amazing. I dont give a crap about the NPP. I just did it last week and already have had several compliments on my "custom exhaust". Cold start is loud but not crazy like ive seen others say on here. They must have an empty garage that echos the sound. The only thing I would do somewhere down the road is maybe buy a couple bullet mufflers to tune the sound. Otherwise it sounds great as it is so no priority there. Im gonna spend my $$ on engine upgrades... just my 2 cents

CHEAP Hooker Blackheart Race system!

$212.95 & $246.31 respectively for
Hooker BlackHeart RACE ONLY Dual Exhaust System (w/o Mufflers)
Part# 70501393-RHKR
Part# 70501395-RHKR
If you need parts for your exhaust or piece together a dual this is a hell of a deal! You can easily make this into a quad with the right muffler guy.

Go to https://www.holley.com/products/clearance_parts/ then sort by your car, Camaro SS. I could not believe this, but a buddy bought one and its legit. Anyway, yw.

Put an order in, hopefully I get one. Even if you throw the tips away that's a great price on a secondary cat delete and x pipe.
